Sitting In Rubble is my gut reaction to world poverty and to climate change which will only continue to displace those of us who live on the margins of Society.

Pope Francis speaks to all of us that poverty, "one of the most critical and vexing issues challenging the human family, will only be solved by leaders who bring others together to pray, study, serve and work. The Pope's actions challenge all of us: while grounded in our own traditions, we should leave our "comfort zones" and form relationships with others to serve those who live in poverty and on the margins of life."

My perspective begins poetically with me alone. It extends out to the mood of my models, then to my drawing, my painting, and ultimately to the living spaces of my patrons.
