You helped her to face the beast of death and fear by those bindings that left her exposed, venerable and helpless which is exactly what people feel in such horrible circumstances of 9/11. This kind of PSTD therapy can be very effective…congratulations for your discovery…

Artist's Description

My model Rachel was in one of the WTC Buildings on 9/11. With thousands of others, she made her escape, running uptown through the dust and carnage. Rachel was naturally very traumatised. Following this dreadful day in New York, she would come uptown to my studio to find shelter and peace. For a whole month we worked together on this piece and it helped her to get in touch with herself again. She would come to the studio and I would gently kneel her down and tie her. There would be no talking while I worked. We listened to music and I would leave her to her thoughts and she would leave me to my drawing. The Prayer became one of my best selling pieces. Shortly after I completed this piece, one of my other models, Tim insisted on being drawn the same way. You will find Binding My Muse in my Flights of Fancy gallery.

Carolyn's raw, sensual style takes subjects drawn from life, embracing both their power and their vulnerability. Carolyn's work is full of wonder.” I love to work directly with clients to create something you will treasure for ever. Please contact me if you are interested in creating a beautiful...
